TOTTENHAM HOT SNACK
Juande Ramos walks into Burger King and asks for two Whoppers. The man at the counter says, "OK, you’ll break into the top four and win some silverware."
HOWAY, JOSE
Jose Mourinho was quick to quash rumours linking him with the Newcastle job.
He told reporters, "I’m not that fucking special!"
CELIBATE GOOD TIMES, COME ON
God appears to a bloke and tells him that he must give up smoking, drinking and sex if he wants to get into Heaven. The guy says he’ll try.
A week passes and God visits the man again to see how he’s getting on.
"Not bad," says the bloke. "I’ve given up smoking and drinking but the other day, when my wife bent over the freezer, I had to f**k her up the arse."
"They don’t like that in Heaven," God tells him.
The man replies, "They’re not too happy about it in Morrisons either."
CHUB SCOUT
I went to see Chubby Brown the other week. As soon as he came on stage, I started shouting,"You fat b*stard! You f*t bastard!"
I was then told by security that sort of behaviour wasn’t tolerated at the Labour Party Conference.

I guess it’s Heavy Metal of some kind, much of it overlaps various sub genres though and I think we’ve given up trying to catergorise it anymore lol we just try to write stuff we can have a lot of fun with on stage
It is pretty heavy stuff … to think about ten years ago I couldn’t stand this kind of music and was much happier listening to dance music … especially Happy Hardcore.
I couldn’t do without my music and try to listen to as many forms as I can and pull influences from all over the place (and not just from heavy metal music either …. you wouldn’t believe the stuff thats on my mp3 player lmao)
I’ve been playing Piano since the age of about 5, but I dont really too much with it in the band anymore as it limits the amount of movement I can get on stage … its a great instrument to learn but can be incredibly frustrating at times so stick with it

It’d be better if they did an updated series, focusing on Infusion and what the park has to offer these days, as well as giving the shows some attention.

The Scat also featured at Morecambe opposite The Cyclone (before The Cyclone became Texas Tornado)..and The Scat also put an appearance in the seventies at Southport Pleasureland opposite…Yep..you guessed it..the sadly missed Cyclone!
Now then..Anyone remember The BobSlay (It was spelt wrong!!), Ben Hur or The Speed Boats?
Yours doing too much wandering around the seventies and eighties of my misty eyed mind

Hi Gary,
I can remember the "Rock O Bob" or something like that and can definately remember the Ben Hur ride, which I have to say was one of the most pointless rides Huss have ever made!! I worked in that area of the park for a little while and can also remember the Flying Carpet and Orbiter. Heres one for you, can anyone remember the Mississipee Showboat attraction that was also based in that area? I thought that was quite good at the time.

I notice from the photo above that there’s a courtroom scene in London (which there was also in Edinburgh - I have to admit I didn’t like that one but and wouldnt’ have liked to have been one of the people picked upon by the judge. I don’t like paying money to be humiliated!) |
York I found to be quite chlostrophobic (sp ?), much darker and scarier … london is quite tame but good fun non the less and its definatley worth doing if you’ve not been before if simply to compare to the rest.
They have the court room scene at york too, the one in london was far better but was pretty humiliaiting for some people (one guy kept getting picked on and he didn’t seem too impressed)
The whole experience lasts about an hour and a half to Two hours …. and costs about twenty quid, however theres online discount and plenty of BOGOF vouchers available … so if you do go keep an eye out

Hi all
I’ve always fancied being stuck inside a 6ft fuzzy Beaver. Sure it might be sweaty and smelly, and maybe quite warm, but to see the smiles on children’s faces would be worth it.

I too Love London. I was lucky to live there for almost a year in my early 20s, and love going back.
I was on the London Eye in the Summer, and really enjoyed it - I was amazed to see so many famous sights all in one go from an angle I’d never seen them before. If you’re interested in London in any way, then this is a must-do experience.
(The London Aquarium is also nearby and is a big disppointment compared to Blackpool Sea life centre (especially considering the price - which I can’t recall, but I did think at the time it was a lot for the experience).

I’d guess that although most pleasure beach addicts would buy a copy of this programme if it was released on DVD, the actual market which it would appeal to is miniscule compared to DVDs of more popular shows.
For that reason I doubt that it will ever be officially released on DVD - I do think it’s a really informative series. I’ve seen it a number of times.
I wish the BBC would commercialyl produce all of the Paul Daniels Magic Shows form TV on a DVD set, but again I guess the captive audience (despite being bigger than the Pleasure Beach fanbase) woudl be relatively small. Even all the Doctor WHo episodes which still exist aren’t rendered to DVD yet (and the fanbase for that is quite large).

Hi Jim,
I agree. I only ever really go to Blackpool in May or September, for pretty much the reasons you describe.
It seems that Blackpool council are coming round though, and there have been recent moves to make the place more attractive for families. We can only hope

The state of Florida has much to offer and with the added bonus of sunshine all the year round. Palm Coast city is situated between Jacksonville and Orlando and it”s a good base for holidaymakers. There are lots of parks with sporting facilities and golf courses. Forest trails and tree-lined paths make it a very green city. The system of freshwater and salt water canals allows for boating in every season. Some people prefer to go out on the Atlantic Ocean and indulge in water sports. There may also be an opportunity to see dolphins.
